Norway take on Sweden in the final match in Group II of the Men's European Handball Championships Main Round. Norway are in fifth place and eliminated, while Sweden are second and through to the semi-finals. Sweden have six points in this Main Round group and are the defending champions in this competition. They began the defence of their title by finishing top of Group E in the Preliminary Round. The Swedes won all three of their games winning the first two by a combined margin of 25 goals. It was tougher in their final group game as they edged out the Netherlands by one goal. That saw them carry two points into the Main Round and they've since beaten Slovenia and Portugal but been beaten by group leaders Denmark.  Regardless of the result of this match Sweden will finish second in the group and will meet the winners of Group I in the last four.

Norway are already out of these Men's European Handball Championships. The Preliminary Round saw them struggle to eventually finish third as they earned three points from as many games. They got off to a winning start against Poland but then drew with Faroe Islands and lost to group winners Slovenia. That was a key loss for them as it meant they didn't have any points to carry forward to this Main Round. Their qualification hopes diminished further with losses to Portugal and Denmark with a win over the Netherlands sandwiched betwen those defeats. We go for Sweden to get the win in this match.
