Norway vs Egypt Prediction & Betting Tips - Men's Olympics Handball

Second placed Norway have already qualified for the last eight of this Olympic tournament. Their penultimate group match sees them bid to get a fourth straight group win. They take on Egypt who are in third place, what will our prediction be?

With two matches remaining, the Norwegians know they'll be in the quarter-finals. Can they win the group though? They are behind leaders Denmark who they play in their final group match on Sunday, both currently with 100 percent records.

Norway began this group with a win over Argentina (the only side in the group without a point so far) and then beat the hosts France. Both wins came via a five-goal margin. Their most recent match was on Wednesday with them beating Hungary.

That was a tougher match for Norway. They were two goals down at half-time but fought back to pip the Hungarians by a single goal.  That extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches with 11 of those being won.

Egypt have three points from as many games in this group. They are yet to clinch qualification for the knockout stages and after this match take on bottom side Argentina on Sunday. One win will be enough to take them into the last eight and that should come on Sunday.

The Egyptians made a winning start to this group with victory over Hungary. They followed that up with a disastrous first half against Denmark going into the break ten goals down. Eventually the match was lost by just three goals as Denmark took their foot off the pedal.

Their most recent match saw the Egyptians draw with hosts and defending champions France. It was a disappointing result considering they were four goals clear of the French side at the break. We go for Norway to win this match and avenge a Golden League loss earlier this year.
