Norway made a winning start to the defence of their European Women's Handball Championship. They beat Slovenia and now face Austria (who also won their opening match) in their second Group E fixture. Here's our match prediction.
The Norwegians are also the Olympic champions and have dominated these European Championships. Eight of the last ten held have seen them win the title. They began their defence with a 33-26 win over Slovenia. A slow start was made as they went 3-0 down but recovered to lead by five points at the break and extend their lead in the second half. That has taken their unbeaten run to 14 matches with 13 wins.
Austria also made a good start with a 37-24 win over Slovakia who are in their first European Championships in ten years. The Austrians will want to do well as they are one of the co-hosts. This is their first time in the European Championships finals since 2008 and finished 19th in last year's Worlds.
They didn't qualify for this year's Olympics, not doing so since 2000. Only four of their last 12 internationals have been won with two defeats to Norway this year by a combined margin of 38 goals.
We tip Norway to win this and defy a -7.5 goals handicap.
