Franklin's Gardens will host the round five English Premiership clash on Friday night between the Northampton Saints and the Sale Sharks. The Saints are in seventh position while the Sharks are currently in fifth place with 14 points. Let's get into the match prediction.

The Saints proved no match for Leicester last weekend when they saw their score tripled by the Tigers in a 24-8 loss in a match that their opponents dominated from the start.

That has left them on a 50% win record in the league with two wins and two losses from their first four games this campaign. 

However, they will be expected to improve that record in this home match as they are unbeaten in their last 10 across all competitions when playing at Franklin's Gardens.

The Sharks, on the other hand, will come into this match off the back of a seemingly routine 43-10 domination of the Newcastle Falcons in their round four matchup. 

That result would be their third win this season with their only loss coming in round two at the hands of Saracens.

However, the visitors have been much less impressive on the road, having lost eight of their last 10 matches across all competitions.
