Nicolás Jarry vs Grigor Dimitrov Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Geneva Open

Fourth seed Grigor Dimitrov and the unseeded Nicolas Jarry will contest the final of the Geneva Open on Saturday. Jarry will seek to win his second title of the season and the third tour title of his career. He has played in four finals at the top level with all four being on clay and lost in the final in Geneva in 2019. The Chilean has won 20 of the 29 matches he has played this season with 16 of those victories coming on clay. This form has seen him win his first title of the season and his first in four years with his success at the Chile Open. Jarry has dropped one set in the three matches he has played and has defeated the last two winners of the competition. He defeated double-defending champion Casper Ruud in the quarterfinals and Alexander Zverev in the semis. The win over Zverev was sweet revenge as the German defeated Jarry to win the title here in 2019. His rise to the final has boosted his world ranking by 150 points and he is now up 14 places to 40th in the live ranking. Jarry and Dimitrov have played each other once before and the former won that duel in Barcelona back in 2019.

Grigor Dimitrov is playing his first tour final in five years. The eight-time tour champion last played a tour final in 2018 in Rotterdam. He lost that final and will hope the same outcome doesn’t befall him here. The Bulgarian prefers hard courts more than clay. This explains why he has played only two finals on clay in his career before this latest one. He won in Romania in 2014 but lost in Istanbul two years later. Dimitrov has however had the most success this season on clay with seven of his 15 wins coming on the surface. He has lost two sets from the three matches he has played in Geneva with both being the openers. To advance to the title match he outdueled second seed Taylor Fritz. Dimitrov has also boosted his world ranking by 150 points and is up to 29th in the live ranking.
