Nick Kyrgios vs Karen Khachanov Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Cincinnati Open
by Steve Ashfield | in ATP Cincinnati Open Predictions
Nick Kyrgios has been climbing up the rankings in recent weeks and is currently 27th in the world. That rise has been achieved after the Australian won the recent Citi Open in Washington beating two top ten ranked players that week. That was his second title of the year after success in Mexico in March where he beat three of the top ten including Rafael Nadal. He's a controversial character of course but has been trying in recent weeks to behave better on the court and it has been working for him. He won his first match against Italian Lorenzo Sonego in straight sets.
Karen Khachanov is the eighth seed for this tournament, so received a bye in the first round. He had a successful run in the Rogers Cup last week making it to the semi-finals. He beat world number seven Alexander Zverev before losing in the last four to Daniil Medvedev (who lost to Krygios in Washington). It's not been the best of years for him though and that was his first semi-final appearance of the year. He's played 39 matches this year and only won 21 of them. Kyrgios looks the form player here and can win this match.

Our Nick Kyrgios vs Karen Khachanov Prediction
Nick Kyrgios continually hits the headlines for his behaviour on court. He's been trying to change his ways in recent weeks and has achieved a good degree of success. He was a recent winner in Washington beating Daniil Medvedev in the final. That opponent went on to beat Khachanov last week. His opponent in this second round tie has showed little consistency this year. Go for a Kyrgios victory.
