The final match of week three in the EPCR Challenge Cup will see Dragons play host to Section Paloise on Sunday afternoon. Dragons are in third place in Pool 2 while Pau are second. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

Dragons have not been in the best shape recently, with their 32-15 defeat to Scarlets in the United Rugby Championship on New Year’s Day marking their ninth defeat in their last 10 games.

The only positive result they have managed since last September came in this competition when they beat Newcastle Falcons 22-14 on the road on matchday two. 

The hosts have been riding a five-match losing streak at home since last October and have only won two of their last 10 matches on home soil across all competitions.

Meanwhile, Section Paloise are the only team in this Pool to have earned bonus points in both matches, beating the Falcons 32-19 before losing to the Lions 43-35. 

However, Pau have also been struggling for results elsewhere, having lost six of their last eight Top 14 matches, which sees them carrying a record of three wins and seven defeats across their last 10 games. 

The visitors have been particularly poor on the road of late. They have lost 14 matches in a row across all competitions dating all the way back to February last year.
