Newcastle Falcons return to English Premiership action still looking for their first win of the season. They are bottom of the table and host Bristol who are in eighth in the table. The home side did at least get a win in the European Challenge Cup with a win over Lyon but only by a couple of points. It's not been going so well in their domestic league though with all eight of their games being lost. Only four points have been earned and that's left them eight points adrift at the bottom and 13 behind their opponents. Their last English Premiership game saw them lose 47-3 away at Leicester Tigers. All four of their home league games have been lost with 104 points conceded. There have been some close games though with three of their home losses being by six points or less.

Bristol Rugby have won three of their eight league games this season. They had lost three in a row before getting a home win over local rivals Gloucester (ninth in the table) scoring 51 points. Away form isn't so hot with only one of their four English Premiership games this season being won. That was a win at Northampton Saints in their first away game of the new season. Three games on the road have been lost since then but all by single figure margins. Two games in the European Challenge Cup in recent weeks saw them lose at Bordeaux but get a home win over Lyon. We back them to get an away win on Friday.
