New York Rangers vs Colorado Avalanche Prediction & Betting Tips - NHL

The NHL regular season is back in full swing following the All-Star game festivities with the Colorado Avalanche taking on the New York Rangers. The Rangers did not experience a good run in the lead up to the All-Star game break with four losses from their last six games. Despite the poor run, New York still sits atop the Metropolitan division with a record of 30 wins, 16 defeats and three overtime losses. This has them on 63 points, two points ahead of second-place Carolina and seven points above third-placed Philadelphia. The last time the Blueshirts took to the ice resulted in a 7-2 away win over the Senators, snapping a two game losing streak. They’ll hope to carry over some of that positive momentum onto their home ice at MSG where they have posted a 15-7-0 record.
The Avalanche were in the opposite situation heading into the All-Star break as they finished things off on a three game winning streak. The hot run of form brings Colorado’s seasonal record to 32 wins, 14 losses and three overtime defeats, putting them on a points total of 67. The 2022 Stanley Cup champions have a slim one-point lead over second-place Dallas and a two point lead over third-placed Winnipeg in the Central division. The visitors are coming off a 5-1 win over the Kings in their most recent game at the end of January. It was the fourth home victory in a row for the Aves who have improved their mark on home ice to a stellar 20-5-0. They’ll now have to take to the road, however, where the Avalance’s record drops to a much more mediocre 12-9-3 record. With that being said, Colorado did run out 7-4 winners over the Flyers on their last road trip.
