This is Kershaw’s first start since August 4th, when he went four innings while giving up just one earned run on three hits. He faces off against Chris Bassitt who gets the start for the Mets. Bassitt is 11-7 on the season with a 3.34 ERA and has been having a good year overall. However, Bassitt somewhat worryingly managed only a single strikeout against the Rockies in his last outing while giving up eight hits and four earned runs.
