The New York Knicks will welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves for their second and final NBA regular season matchup. The Knicks currently sit third in the Eastern Conference whereas their visitors are eighth out in the West. Below is our prediction for this match.

The Knicks blew out the Timberwolves by 26 points in the reverse game last month. They have now won the last two meetings with their soon-to-be visitors and will be keen on a third victory.

Tom Thibodeau’s men got back to winning ways last time out with a 125-119 OT victory away to the Sixers. This was just their third victory in the last eight games.

Karl-Anthony Towns has missed the last two matches with injury and could be sidelined for his former team’s visit.

The Timberwolves were defeated 116-115 at home by the Warriors in their most recent game. It was the second setback in their last three matches.

Minnesota have regressed this season.

Trading Towns to the Knicks for Julius Randle and Donte Di Vincenzo hasn’t panned out as they would have hoped. Last season, the T-wolves were top of the Western Conference, now, they are 13 games off the pace.

They look destined for the play-in if they are to make the playoffs proper. Di Vincenzo is unavailable through injury and will miss his first trip to New York since the trade.
