We are back at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night for Game 5 of the NBA Playoff series between the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons. The Knicks edged the Pistons in Game 4 to lead the series 3-1. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Detroit Pistons suffered a 94-93 loss in Game 4, but they have a reason to be disgruntled after the referees failed to call a foul on Tim Hardaway’s three-point attempt at the buzzer. 

Indeed, the foul was a clear one and would have given them three free throws, which could have swung the result in their favour. The NBA acknowledged the error after the match, but that doesn’t change the fact that they are now 0-9 in home Playoff games.

Cade Cunningham showed much better efficiency on Sunday to finish with 25 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Jalen Duran was a monster under the rim on both ends with 17 rebounds. 

Questionable officiating aside, Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns were excellent for the New York Knicks in the last game, and the star duo combined for 59 of the team's 94 points. 

Brunson is now averaging a little over 33 PPG and eight assists per game in this series, Towns is draining just below 40% from beyond the arc, and OG Anunoby is providing valuable support to them.

The Knicks now have the opportunity to close out the series at home and take some time off before the semis, where they look increasingly likely to come up against the Pacers.
