The New York Knicks host the reeling Chicago Bulls at Madison Square Garden for this Eastern Conference matchup in the NBA. The Knicks are fresh off of a superb New Year’s Day home victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in a win that will be sure to have boosted morale. New York grabbed the recent headlines after trading RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley to the Raptors for OG Anunoby. The victory over the first-place TWolves marks the first win post-trade and is one that is sure to have the Knicks faithful buzzing. Expect an electric atmosphere at the Mecca of basketball as fans will be eager to see their team pick up what will be another expected win. The hosts are up to 17th in the standings with a 18-15 record, putting them just one game behind the Heat in fourth-place. New York will be gunning for their second win in a row after snapping a previous three game losing streak.  

The Bulls suffered a 110-97 loss to the 76ers on Tuesday, marking their fourth loss over the last 10 games. While things were looking on the up for Chicago, the recent loss combined with a number of injury concerns means they come into this game as nearly double-digit underdogs. They find themselves four games behind their opponents today and 4.5 games behind Indiana for a coveted sixth seed, which would guarantee a spot in the postseason and avoid the play-in tournament. Chicago has no fewer than seven players listed on the injury report after seeing both Coby White and Patrick Williams forced to leave the game early on Tuesday.
