The New York Knicks will play host to the Boston Celtics at Madison Square Garden in the NBA on Saturday night. The Knicks (34-17) are third in the Eastern Conference while the Celtics (36-16) are one spot above them in second. Let’s get into the match prediction.

The New York Knicks are in an excellent run of form and notched up their seventh win in eight games on Tuesday when they beat the Raptors 121-115 on the road. 

Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns combined for 55 points, while as a team, New York shot 50% from the field and made eight of 25 from beyond the arc.

The Knicks are the fourth-highest-scoring team in the NBA this season (117.9 PPG), and concede the eighth-fewest points (111.4 PPG).

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics have won seven of their last 10 games but suffered a somewhat unexpected 127-120 defeat to the Mavericks in their last match on Thursday. 

Boston shot 51% from the field and 16 of 37 from long range, but they allowed 104 points in the first three quarters to find themselves in a 27-point deficit which they could not make back up.

The C’s average 0.6 points fewer per game than the Knicks this season but also allow 2.6 points less than New York per game.
