An AFC East rivalry is renewed on Black Friday as the 4-6 New York Jets host the 7-3 Miami Dolphins. The Jets sit third in the division and will need to turn things around fast if they are to keep their playoff hopes alive. Miami, meanwhile, sit atop the AFC East and will look to extend their lead over the 6-5 Bills in second.

The Jets return to MetLife Stadium in desperate need of a win after a two game road trip which saw them come up empty handed. Their most recent outing saw them suffer a 32-6 drubbing at the hands of Bills last weekend, extending their overall losing streak to three straight games. The Jets made the decision to bench quarterback Zach Wilson for the second season in a row and will go forward with journeyman Tim Boyle for the time being. Boyle, who is 29-years-old, has only thrown 120 total passes in his now five year career which has seen him suit up for four different teams. New York has now only mustered an anemic 24 points over their last three games combined. 

The Dolphins have been flying high this season and will look to continue their charge for a first AFC East crown since 2008. They come into this divisional rivalry game off the back of a 20-13 home win over the Raiders on the weekend. It was a much-needed result after falling 21-14 to the Chiefs the week prior. Miami have been scintillating at home this season with their high-powered offense racking up the second most home points in the league. The result is a perfect 5-0 record when playing the Hard Rock Stadium. However, they’ve failed to produce those same kinds of performances on the road. The Fish have won just two of their five road games so far and enter this matchup on a three-game road losing streak.
