The Islanders will look to continue their recent winning streak as they go for their fourth straight victory following their 2-1 away win over the Flyers in their last outing. The defense has really stepped up for NY over their current winning streak as the Isles have only given up a total of two goals in their last three games. New York currently sits sixth in the Metropolitan division with a record of 26 wins, 22 losses and five overtime defeats, putting them on 57 points. They trail the first place Hurricanes by 19 points but sit just seven points behind third-place and local city rivals the NY Rangers. The Islanders have been a solid home team and have racked up 15 wins in their 26 outings at the UBS Arena.
Standing in their way is a Seattle Kraken team that is looking to extend their lead atop the Pacific division. Seattle sits first in their division with a record of 29 wins, 15 losses and five overtime defeats for a points total of 63. They are actually even with second-place Los Angeles but lead the Kings thanks to a superior goal differential of +26.
