Philadelphia Eagles are the reigning Super Bowl champions but are the underdogs in this match at New Orleans Saints. They struggled in NFC East ending with a 9-7 record. Whether they were even going to make it to the play-offs was uncertain as they slumped to a 4-6 record after ten matches. Wins in their last three games (including one over LA Rams, who are already in the NFC Championship final) secured them a place in the wild card play-offs. Last week they beat Chicago Bears 16-15 in a real thriller.

New Orleans Saints had a much easier route to this divisional play-off. They won NFC South with ease ending with a 13-3 record, six more wins than any other team in the division making them the number one seeds in the NFC and earning them the vital home advantage. The Saints lost their first match of the season but then won the next ten in a row including a win over LA Rams. Not since 2010 have they won the Super Bowl but with home advantage, they have a great chance here of making the NFC Championship match. You have to go back to 2005 for the last time a team won two Super Bowls in succession.  New Orleans didn't play last week giving them plenty of time to rest. With home advantage, a rested team and Philidelphia having a few injury problems, the tip is for a New Orleans Saints victory.
