New Orleans Saints defeated reigning Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles 20-14 last weekend. They did it the hard way after trailing 14-0 at one stage in the divisional play-off after two touchdowns. It took them to the third quarter to recover and take the lead with QB Drew Brees thowing two touchdowns. The Saints had the chance to kill that game off but missed a field goal three minutes from time but they held onto get through to this NFC Championship match. After finishing 13-3 when winning the NFC South,  securing six more wins than any other team in the division, the Saints are number one seeds in the NFC, with their opponents second.

LA Rams also had a 13-3 record as they won NFC West from the Seattle Seahawks. They could have met the Seahawks in the divisional play-off but it was their conquerors the Dallas Cowboys who they took on last week. The Rams won that match 30-22 with CJ Anderson putting in a great shift. He ran 23 times for 123 yards and scored two touchdowns.  Like their opponents in this NFC Championship match, the Rams had to come from behind to win their divisional play-off game. They trailied 7-3 after the first quarter but had a storming second quarter winning that 17-0 to take charge of the game. Home advantage could be key here and the Saints have already beaten the Rams on home territory this season when they ended their opponents unbeaten run.  New Orleans have the momentum and can get the win here.
