New Orleans Saints vs Green Bay Packers Prediction & Betting Tips - NFL

It's week two of the new NFL season and the New Orleans Saints host the Green Bay Packers. The Saints are top of NFC South but need to bounce back from their loss at the Las Vegas Raiders last weekend leaving them 1-1 for the season. They had begun this new campaign with a 34-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That win was achieved mainly due to a 17-0 second quarter hammering of the Buccaneers. Then they became the first side to travel to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders in their new home. They were looking good when 10-0 up after the opening quarter but then lost the next two to fall seven points behind.  The Raiders extended that lead early in the final quarter but despite a late touchdown, the Saints fell to their first loss of the season. The Saints only lost three games in the regular season last term before losing in the wild card round to Minnesota. Only two home games were lost last season, so they will be confident to get back into winning ways this weekend.

The Green Bay Packers are top of the NFC North with a 2-0 season record. They also had a 13-3 regular season record last season, eventually losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship match. The Packers were in high-scoring form in their first match of this new season, beating the Minnesota Vikings 43-34. They were 26 points clear going into the final quarter but saw the Vikings narrow that gap conceding three touchdowns, something they'll need to avoid in New Orleans. They followed up that opening win with a 42-21 win over the Detroit Lions. That was a topsy turvy game with the Lions going 14-3 up after the first quarter, only to lose the next two 31-0.  This is a hard game in which to pick an overall winner. The Packers are one of only five sides that have won their first two games, while the Saints haven't made a convincing start but have home advantage. Go for over 51.5 points to be scored in this match.
