The Pelicans are slowly picking up steam and will be confident of piling more misery on their fellow strugglers. Willie Green’s men, who sit bottom in the West, have won five times in their last eight games.

This is their best stretch of results all season. The Pelicans, who are on a two-match winning run, defeated the Mavericks 119-116 last time out. That was their 10th win of the season and the sixth at home.

Herb Jones is unavailable for this match while Brandon Ingram has been upgraded to questionable.

The Jazz are coming off a 117-112 defeat at home to the Hornets. They will be keen to not allow another setback to a fellow struggler.

Will Hardy’s men have lost four times in their last five games and have compiled a 10-29 record. They have lost their last two meetings with the Pelicans, both away from home. 

Their first meeting of the season saw the Pelicans blow them out by 29 points.
