The reeling New Orleans Pelicans will welcome the Sacramento Kings seeking to snap a nine-match losing streak in the NBA. The Pelicans sit rock bottom of the Western Conference standings and are 15 games adrift of their visitors in ninth. Below is our prediction for this match.

This is the first game of a back-to-back involving the two teams in New Orleans. The Pelicans have dropped right back to having the worst record in the West.

Willie Green’s team, which has been decimated by injuries throughout the season, has lost 41 of its 53 matches. Only one other team has compiled a worse-off record across both conferences.

The Pels, who’ve played just twice at home during this losing streak, were hammered 137-101 by the Thunder to end a four-match road trip.

The Kings have seen an improvement in form recently and will arrive fully confident of piling more misery on their hosts. Doug Christie’s men have won their last two games.

They are coming off an exciting 129-128 OT victory in Dallas to begin a three-match road trip. Before the win over the Mavericks, the Kings had snapped a two-match losing run with a 123-118 home win over the Pelicans.

Sacramento have won both their matchups with New Orleans. Another win here will hand them the spoils in this series with a game to spare.
