The New Orleans Pelicans will lock horns with the Sacramento Kings at the Smoothie King Center on Friday. The Pelicans (5-20) are dead-last (15th place) in the Western Conference table, while the Kings (12-13), who are positioned in 12th place, will be aiming for a win here to reach a .500 win percentage. The New Orleans Pelicans have been in poor form. They head into this clash with 11 losses in their last 12 matches. There was a little bit of hope that their woes would come to an end following a 126-124 win over the Phoenix Suns on December 6th to halt a nine-match losing streak. 

However, they've since followed that triumph with consecutive defeats against Oklahoma City Thunder (119-109) and, most recently, San Antonio Spurs (121-116). 

Their performances at the Smoothie King Center have been underwhelming. The Pelicans have just four wins to their name in the last 12 games (L8).

The Sacramento Kings are likely to embrace their visit to this venue eagerly given their opponents' lackluster form. 

The Kings made it two wins in a row following a commanding 147-97 home win against the Utah Jazz. The last time they recorded three consecutive wins was between October stretching to November. 

Away from home, their form has been average with six wins and six losses recorded in their last 12 games.
