The New Orleans Pelicans and Philadelphia 76ers will meet at Smoothie King Center in Monday's NBA cross-conference matchup. The Pelicans are 14th in the Western Conference table, while the 76ers are 12th in the Eastern Conference. Here's our match prediction. 

The New Orleans Pelicans dropped to 19-53 in the Western Conference table when they lost their second consecutive match in the NBA.

That defeat came against the Detroit Pistons, suffering a narrow 136-130 away defeat. CJ McCollum posted a game-high 40 points and Jordan Hawkins contributed 25 points.

The Pelicans have now lost nine of their last 11 games indicating a team that has lacked consistency. A return to Smoothie King Center does not inspire much confidence, having recorded four losses in five games.

The Philadelphia 76ers' skid hit four games after a 132-119 away defeat against the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. 

Quentin Grimes led the team with 26 points and six assists, and Justin Edwards contributed 22 points. As a team, they shot 44% from the field and allowed their opponents to shoot 55.2%.

The 76ers head into their final match of a six-game road trip boasting four losses and a solitary win. Considering this will also be their second night of a back-to-back nothing much can be expected from them in this one.
