The New Orleans Pelicans and Golden State Warriors are set to do battle at the Smoothie King Center in the NBA on Saturday morning. The Pels (4-12) are 14th in the Western Conference while the Warriors (11-3) lead the conference standings. To the match prediction.

The New Orleans Pelicans have been having a rough time, and with a host of their players injured, they suffered a deflating 128-100 defeat to the Cavaliers last time out. 

Antonio Reeves put up 34 points, Brandon Boston Jr contributed 14 points and five assists, while as a team they shot 42% from the field and made eight of 31 from long-range.

The Pelicans are now the lowest-scoring team in the league this season (103.5), and are not much better on defence, allowing 115.4 PPG (23rd in the NBA). 

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors are enjoying a resurgence this season and notched up their 11th win of the campaign by routing the Hawks 120-97 at home on Thursday. 

Andrew Wiggins and Stephen Curry both got 20+ points in the victory, as they shot to a 41-point first quarter and were almost out of sight with a 25-point lead heading into halftime. 

The Warriors are a top-five side at both ends this season, third in points scored per game (119.6 PPG) and fifth in points against (109.1 PPG).
