New England Patriots vs New York Jets Prediction & Betting Tips - NFL
by Joseph King | in NFL Predictions
An AFC East rivalry is reignited when the New York Jets travel to Beantown to take on the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium for week 11 of the NFL regular season. The Jets have been one of the surprises of the 2022/23 season with their defense primarily responsible for catapulting them to a 6-3 record, which sees them just one game behind the 7-3 Dolphins who lead the division. They face off against a familiar foe in Bill Belichick, whose Patriots team currently sits bottom of the AFC East despite having a winning record at 5-4.

New England Patriots & New York Jets Squad Analysis
In what is the biggest Pats vs Jets game in over a decade, all eyes will be on which young quarterback can step up and lead their team to a win that will carry with it serious playoff implications. Zach Wilson of the Jets has struggled with his consistency this season after coming back from injury and has managed just 1,202 yards with four touchdowns and five interceptions in his six games. The same can be said for Patriots play caller Mac Jones who missed three games in the middle of the season due to injury. The second-year pro has managed just 1,140 yards with four touchdowns and seven interceptions in six games as well. It’s the defenses that are likely to steal the show here, with both teams ranking in the top 8 in terms of opponent points allowed.

Our New England Patriots vs New York Jets Prediction
We’re going to back New England to get a vital win here and cover the -3.5 spread in the process. The Pats were favored by three points when the two teams met just a few weeks ago in the week 8 matchup, which New England would go on to win and cover the number. At home, against a Jets team that head coach Bill Belichick has dominated over the years, the Patriots should really be more like -5.5 to -6 point favorites. Therefore, we see some decent value in backing the hosts to cover this one, although certainly grab -3 if you can find it on the board.
