We are into the second half of the 2025 Premier League Darts season, and Night 9 of the competition gets underway with Nathan Aspinall taking on Stephen Buntin on Thursday. The Asp is in sixth place in the standings, while Bullet is bottom of the table. Let’s get into the match prediction!
Nathan Aspinall notched up another two Premier League points last week by beating Michael van Gerwen 6-5 in the quarter-final, marking his sixth match won in the competition to date.
The Asp recorded the highest checkout last week of 142 and took Luke Humphries to a final set showdown with an average of 101.18. He also has two runner-up finishes in the competition so far.
Since then, Aspinall made it to round three in the Players Championship 9 and bowed out in the opening round of the PC10. His record over the last 10 matches is now seven wins and three losses.
Meanwhile, Stephen Bunting has been having a very tough time of it in the Premier League and is the only player yet to record his first point of the competition.
Bullet was completely outclassed last week, losing 6-0 to Luke Littler in the quarter-final. He then lost in round three of the PC9 and suffered a first-round exit in the PC10 on Tuesday.
These two have already met once in the Premier League, and Aspinall won the match 6-2. However, Bunting did come out on top in their three previous encounters.
