Naomi Osaka vs Petra Kvitová Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Australian Open

A new winner of the women's singles title at the Australian Open is guaranteed as Naomi Osaka takes on Petra Kvitova in the final. Both are Grand Slam winners and Osaki is bidding to win her second Grand Slam title in a row. Osaka hadn't made it past the fourth round of a Grand Slam tournament before her victory at last year's US Open. It was important for her to build on that win and reaching this final has done that. Three of her matches in this tournament have gone to three sets. Twice Osaka has had to come from behind to get the win and she had to go to the final set to get her semi-final win over Karolina Pliskova in the semi-finals. She has shown some impressive form though, particularly in her quarter final win over sixth seed Elina Svitolina where she only lost five games.

It would be a dream win if Petra Kvitova can win this title. Her career was nearly ended after a knife attack just three years ago. This is her first Grand Slam final since winning Wimbledon five years ago and her first outside of that tournament. Past years haven't bought that much success for Kvitova at the Australian Open and since a semi-final here seven years ago, this is the first time she's even made it past the 3rd round. Kvitova has yet to drop a set in this tournament and after a tie-break win in the first set of her semi-final against Danielle Collins, won the next one 6-0. The most games she has dropped in a match here this year is six and will be a tough nut for Osaka to crack. This match isn't just for the Australian Open title, whoever comes out the winner will become the new world number one. Kvitova has shown the best form and can win the title.
