The Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders will face off at the Wankhede Stadium in match 12 of the Indian Premier League on Monday afternoon. MI are xx in the table while KKR are sixth. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Mumbai Indians have made a very poor start to their IPL campaign, yet to get off the mark after back-to-back losses to the Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. 

Mumbai have had very little to be optimistic about either, with Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma being their top run-scorers with just 77 runs across the two games. 

MI need a major improvement from their bowlers in this match or they could find themselves three games down and with a mountain to climb for the rest of the competition.

Meanwhile, the Kolkata Knight Riders have also made a mixed start to their title defence, losing their first match by seven wickets and with 22 balls to spare against the Royal Challengers on March 22. 

However, KKR bounced back from that defeat in fine style, thumping the Toyals by eight wickets in match two, with Quinton de Kock scoring 97 runs of just 61 balls at the top of the innings. 

These familiar foes have faced off a total of 34 times in the IPL, and MI have been the more successful, winning 23 games. However, KKR did beat this opponent home and away last season.
