In their first-ever meeting in the Challenge Cup, Montpellier will play host to Ospreys on Sunday. Montpellier’s opening victory came at the expense of Newcastle Falcons as they scored four tries in the 19-24 win. Ospreys posted a flying Challenge Cup start in a try fest against Benetton that ended in a 43-34 victory. The 2012 Pro 12 champions have had a stop-start season winning just three of their seven games and suffering defeat in four. This shaky form has left them in 11th place in the United Rugby Championship, three points off a quarters slot. The Welsh side will not rest easy having lost their last 12 away games against French sides in the Champions Cup. They will however be buoyed by the fact that they have won their last four pool stage matches in European competitions.
