Mirra Andreeva vs Karolina Muchova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Ningbo Open

We'll have an unseeded player in the final of the Ningbo Open. That's because Mirra Andreeva takes on Karolina Muchova in the semi-final of this outdoor hard court tournament. Here's our match prediction.

The winner of this match will take on either fifth seed Daria Kasatkina or eighth-seeded Paula Badosa. Muchova is up to 25th in the live rankings and can cliimb another couple of places if reaching this final.

The 28-year-old is in top form at present and a win over Andreeva will see Muchova in her second successive final. The other was in the China Open where the Czech lost to Coco Gauff in the final but beat both Aryna Sabalenka and Qinwen Zheng.

This tournament has seen her defeat quallfier Olivia Gadecki, lucky loser Jaqueline Cristian and in the quarter-finals, the seventh seed Anna Kalinskaya. Only the latter of those matches saw her drop a set.

The first set against Kalinskaya was lost but Muchova then only lost five games in the next two sets. 

World number 19 Mirra Andreeva is up a place in the live rankings to a new career-high of 18th. A win here will see her climb to 15th place. The 17-year-old has won one title this year but that was in a clay court event.

That's the only WTA Tour final that Andreeva has reached. Her best recent performance has been a run to the last eight of the China Open. The last tournament she played in saw her beaten in the last 32 by her sister Erika Andreeva.

In Ningbo, the Russian has beaten lucky loser Tamara Korpatsch and fourth seed Barbora Krejcikova. In the latter, Andreeva won the first set on a tie-break and her opponent retired when 3-2 down in the second.
