Ninth seed Mirra Andreeva is playing in her first Indian Wells quarter-final. The Russian faces the 23rd seed Elina Svitolina for a place in the last four of this outdoor hard court WTA 100 tournament. Here's our match prediction.

It's already been a good year for Mirra Andreeva. The 17-year-old won the Dubai Tennis Championship title in her last tournament. Already the teenager has beaten two seeds in this event.

The 22nd seed Clara Tauson was beaten in round three and then Andreeva defeated sixth-seeded Elena Rybakina. Those two wins have seen Andreeva lose only six games. The teenager is now a career-high ninth in the live rankings and fourth in the Live Race.

Elina Svitolina had a big win over the fourth seed Jessica Pegula in round four. The first set was lost but Svitolina only lost three games in the next two. The previous round had seen her defeat the 14th seed Danielle Collins.

The Ukrainian is up to 21st in the live rankings. Her career-high is third but that was achieved eight years ago. This year has seen the 30-year-old win nine of her 13 matches and this is her second quarter-final of 2025.
