Second seed Aryna Sabalenka and the unseeded Mirra Andreeva meet yet again in 2024, in their scheduled quarter-final showdown at the French Open. The winner of this third career meeting between these two will play Jasmine Paolini or Elena Rybakina for a place in the final. Mirra Andreeva has for the first time in her young career progressed to the quarter-finals at a Grand Slam. The Belarussian, who has won both encounters in straight sets, defeated Andreeva by the loss of five games last month. That win was one of the 29 she has managed this year. Sabalenka is having another dominant campaign and on clay, has won 15 of 18 fixtures. She has battled her way to four finals with half coming in her last two tournaments.
