Miomir Kecmanovic vs Nikoloz Basilashvili Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Munich Open

Defending champion Nikoloz Basilashvli is the world number 20 but having an inconsistent year. He is the fourth seed in Munich and takes on seventh seeded Miomir Kecmanovic in the quarter finals. The winner of this match faces either Casper Ruud (seeded second) or Botic van de Zandschlup (the eighth seed) in the last four. Before this tournament began, Basilashvili had won just three of his 15 matches on the ATP Tour. He has a lot of ranking points to defend in the next couple of months so has to regain his form or he'll start dropping down the rankings list. He's won three ATP Tour clay court tournaments but only won one match on his last four visits to Roland Garros. He lost in his first match at both Monte Carlo and Barcelona in recent weeks. He's fared better in Munich in his bid to retain the title but had to come from behind to beat Ilya Ivashka in his only match so far.

Miomir Kecmanovic has been as low as 77th in the rankings this year. He's been climbing the list though and began this event in 38th place. He has the consistency that Basilashvili would love to have at the moment. This is the sixth consecutive quarter final appearance and he's hoping this is the week he finally gets to a semi-final. On clay this year, he's reached the last eight in Rio de Janiero, Santiago and in Belgrade last week when taking Novak Djokovic to three sets. Other notable performances this year have been getting to the last eight at Indian Wells, where he beat both Felix Auger-Aliassime and Taylor Fritz. This week has seen his good form continue with wins over Max Hsns Rehberg and Daniel Altmaier without dropping a set. Back him to finally get to a semi-final in 2022 with a win over Basilashvili.
