Miomir Kecmanovic vs Lorenzo Sonego Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Australian Open

25th seeded Lorenzo Sonego faces unseeded Miomir Kecmanovic for a place in the fourth round. Sonego is the world number 26 and this is the first time he's reached the third round of the Australian Open. His best ever Grand Slam performances have been making it to the fourth round at the French Open in 2020 and Wimbledon last year. Sonego was ranked 34th this time last year and went on to win one clay court tournament in Cagliari as he rose up the rankings. This year has seen him saw him play just one warm-up tournament. Sonego won two matches to reach the last eight, where he lost to eventual champion Aslan Karatsev. The first round of this Grand Slam saw him beat Sam Querrey in straight sets. He lost the first set against Oscar Otte in the second round but won the next three sets for the loss of just six games.

Miomir Kecmanovic is the world number 77 and this is the first time he's reached the third round of a Grand Slam. The 22-year-old is making the most of the change of opponent in the first round. He was due to take on Novak Djokovic but ended up playing and beating lucky loser Salvatore Caruso in straight sets. That was followed by a tough three-set win over Tommy Paul with two tie-breaks and a 7-5 set. The past year has seen him drop from 42nd in the rankings. His best performances came on clay with a couple of semi-finals. His one warm-up tournament saw him lose in the second round at Sydney, also losing to Karatsev. He's had four previous meetings with Sonego at all levels of the game, losing three. Their only match on the ATP tour saw Sonego beat Kecmanovic in 2019.
