The NFL Playoffs are here with the Wild Card round as the New York Giants head up north to take on the Minnesota Vikings at the US Bank Stadium. The Giants finished the regular season with nine wins, seven defeats and one draw – good for only third in the stacked NFC East division but enough to sneak into one of the final playoff spots. The G-Men did not have a good run in, winning just two of their final seven games after their 22-16 loss to the Eagles to cap off the regular season. The Giants lost this encounter when the two teams matched up in the regular season back in December. The Vikings would walk off 27-24 victors on the day after an absurd 61-yard field goal to win the game at the death. New York was able to rest most of their starters in the final game against the Eagles meaning they come into this matchup with the Vikings effectively working off a bye-week. 

On the other side, Minnesota come into this matchup off the back of a fantastic regular season which saw them top the NFC North with a record of 13 wins and four losses. They capped off their regular season with a 29-13 win against the Bears, making it three wins from the final four games. Minnesota have certainly been a dangerous team when playing in front of their home fans, racking up eight wins out of nine outings at the US Bank Stadium. However, one area of concern with the Vikings is the amount of one score games they were involved in this season. Minnesota had an incredible 11 of their 13 wins decided by just one score, meaning there was certainly an element of good fortune that had them consistently getting the bounces throughout the year.
