The out-of-form Minnesota Timberwolves will be seeking to bounce back when they host the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA. They enter this match as the ninth seed in the Western Conference, whereas their visitors are 12th in the East. Below is our prediction for this match.

The Timberwolves are coming off a resounding 116-98 victory over the Suns. Chris Finch’s men are a pale shadow of the team that reached the West finals last season.

They have compiled a shaky 33-29 record and are just five games from falling out of the play-in bracket. Inconsistency has plagued them, and currently, they have lost six of their last nine games.

Rudy Gobert remains sidelined with a back issue, while Julius Randle is doubtful.

The Sixers are faring even worse, with just two wins from their last 14 games. They produced a shock and morale-boosting 126-119 victory over the Warriors at home two matchdays ago to snap a nine-game losing streak.

However, they were unable to build on that. Philly, who are on the second night of a back-to-back, were outclassed 119-102 at home by the Blazers last time out.

They have now lost 39 times and sit 18 games below .500.

 Joel Embiid is out for the season, and so is Jared McCain. Eric Gordon remains sidelined as well, while Tyrese Maxey, Paul George, Kelly Obure and Kyle Lowry are questionable.
