The Minnesota Timberwolves have lost seven of their last 10 matches but managed to end a four-match losing streak with a 93-92 victory over the Clippers last week.

The Timberwolves are now averaging 111.2 points per game this season (19th), but they are allowing just 110.3 PPG (seventh in the league).

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have started to cool off recently, losing four of their last six, but managed to outlast the Utah Jazz last night 105-104 on the road. 

Anthony Davis delivered a standout performance with 33 points and 11 rebounds, while LeBron James backed him up with 27 points and 14 assists, and Rui Hachimura added 13 points. 

The Lakers are ranked 14th in the scoring charts this season, averaging 114.0 PPG, but they are 22nd at the other end, allowing 115.2 points per game.
