The Target Center will be packed to the rafters on Thursday night when NBA action continues with the Minnesota Timberwolves taking on the Houston Rockets. In the Western Conference, the Timberwolves (28-23) and the Rockets (32-18) are placed seventh and third respectively. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been in fine form lately, earning their sixth win from the last eight matches after an emphatic 127-108 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. 

Anthony Edwards delivered a sensational performance, sinking 49 points, securing nine rebounds and producing three assists, while Naz Reid added a further 22 to the scoreboard. 

Minnesota averages 111.4 points per game (20th overall) while a strong defence allows just 108 PPG (fourth in the NBA). 

In contrast, the Houston Rockets seem to have gone cold and conceded a fourth consecutive defeat, 99-97 against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. 

Alperen Sengun dominated the paint with 24 points, 20 rebounds and four assists, but the Rockets converted just 41% of their 83 field attempts and were edged late in the day. 

Houston now averages 113.4 points per game (13th in the league) and have slipped outside the the top five on defence, allowing 108.6 PPG (sixth overall).
