Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets Prediction & Betting Tips - NBA
by Devesh Jaganath | in NBA Predictions
The Minnesota Timberwolves play host to the Denver Nuggets in Game 4 of the NBA Playoffs Conference semi-final at the Ball Arena on Sunday night. The Timberwolves lead the series 2-1.
After securing their second road win to start the series, the Minnesota Timberwolves seemed to be riding high on confidence. However, they now find themselves aiming to rebound after a tough loss to the Nuggets in Game 3. Anthony Edwards led the team with 19 points, six rebounds, and five assists, supported by Karl-Anthony Towns with 14 points and Mike Conley with 10 points and six assists. In Game 3, the Timberwolves experienced their weakest offensive performance of the postseason, scoring just 90 points on 43.7% shooting from the field and 30.3% shooting from three-point range. While Minnesota's defensive toughness has been a cornerstone, they struggled to contain the Nuggets in the previous game, allowing them to shoot 53.8% from the field and 48.3% from beyond the arc, with Jokic and Murray particularly efficient. Although Jamal Murray is dealing with a calf injury, he is expected to play, while Jaylen Clark remains sidelined due to injury.
Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets will be aiming to even up the series following a convincing 117-90 victory over the Timberwolves in Game 3. Nikola Jokic led the charge with 24 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists, supported by Jamal Murray's 24 points and five assists and Michael Porter Jr.'s 21 points. The Nuggets dominated the first three quarters in Game 3, leading by as many as 34 points, with Murray showcasing one of his better offensive performances of the playoffs thus far. The entire starting five scored in double figures. Notably, Denver significantly intensified their defense, holding Anthony Edwards to 19 points and Karl-Anthony Towns to 14. Nickeil Alexander-Walker's availability will be determined closer to game time due to a shoulder injury, while Collin Gillespie and Vlatko Cancar are ruled out for the visitors.

Our Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets Prediction
The Nuggets gave everyone a bit of a scare after going 2-0 down at home in this series, but their experience was evident in Game 3 as they seem to have found ways to deal with the Timberwolves’ generally solid defense and nullified them on attack. If the Nuggets maintain control on offense and force the Timberwolves into a half-court game, we may see the Timberwolves' offense struggle once again. We expect the Nuggets to build on Friday’s performance here and feel they could edge this one to level the series. Our Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets prediction: Denver Nuggets +5.5.
