The final match on Night 3 of the 2025 Premier League will see Michael van Gerwen taking on Chris Dobey in the quarter-final at the 3Arena in Dublin on Thursday night. MVG is in third place in the league standings with four points while Hollywood is fourth with three points. Let’s get into the match prediction!
Michael van Gerwen made a positive start to Nights 1 and 2, beating Luke Littler 6-5 and Stephen Bunting 6-1 averaging 105.91 and 109.16 respectively.
However, Littler turned the tables on Night 2, emphatically beating him 6-2. MVG then had another disappointing Players Championship outing, losing his first-round match against Michael Flynn.
Van Gerwen has struggled to find consistency of late, failing to win back-to-back matches since the World Championship at the start of the year.
Meanwhile, Chris Dobey is enjoying one of his best seasons ever and kicked off his Premier League campaign with a run to the final where he was beaten by Luke Humphries.
Hollywood was drawn against Humphries in the first round on Night 2 and despite a better showing, still lost to the world number one 6-4.
However, Dobey now enters this match off the back of an incredible performance at the Players Championship on Monday, where he went all the way to the title, beating Jelle Klaasen 8-4.
