Michael Mmoh vs Marcos Giron Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Winston-Salem Open

13th seeded Marcos Giron faces unseeded opposition in the second round of the Winston Salem Open. He takes on the American wild card Michael Mmoh for a place in the last 16 of this outdoor hard court event. The winner will face either top seeded Borna Coric or Rinky Hijikata in round three. Giron was ranked 63rd at the start of this outdoor hard court tournament. The American recently reached the last 16 in Toronto and beat Holger Rune before a loss to Tommy Paul. His other two recent hard court events both saw him lose in his first match. He's reached three hard court quarter finals this year and received a bye into this second round. He'll want to build his form up ahead of the US Open where he has only won two out of nine matches in the past.

Michael Mmoh has won two of his previous three matches against Giron. One was won on a lesser tour but this year saw him defeat his fellow American in Acapulco. All three previous meetings have been played on outdoor hard courts. Mmoh was ranked 94th, 12 places below his career high achieved six months ago. The 25-year-old recently reached the last 16 in Washington and had a win over Hubert Hurkacz. His most recent tournament was on the Challenger Tour where he lost in the last eight to Tristan Boyer ranked 492nd in the world. He does lack consistency but has had some good results this year, including knocking out Felix Auger-Aliassime at Wimbledon and Alexander Zverev in the Australian Open. Round one of this tournament saw him have to go to three sets to beat qualifer Darian King who is currently 497th in the world. We go for Giron to get the win.
