The Heat are coming into this game seeking to snap a four-match skid. This losing run has heavily impacted their hopes of avoiding the play-in to make the playoffs.

Erik Spoelstra’s men have dropped to ninth in the East standings with a 29-35 record. The Heat, who have been at home in their last three games, were defeated by the lowly Hornets 105-102 last time out.

The Clippers are also battling to avoid the play-in with the regular season fast coming to a close. Ty Lue’s men find themselves in eighth place in the hotly contested Western Conference.

They have compiled a 35-30 record and sit two games from the automatic playoff spots. The Clippers suffered a setback in their quest for a top-six finish when they were outscored 127-120 by the lowly Pelicans last time out.

This was their fourth loss in the last seven games and snapped a three-match winning run. LA  emerged winners in the last three matches against Miami. They won the first meeting of the season 109-98 at home.
