The Miami Heat search for their third win in a row when they host the red-hot Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday evening. The Heat, currently sitting seventh in the Eastern Conference, have closed the gap on the sixth-place Pacers to just a half game for one of the crucial top six seeds. Miami is 26-23 on the year and is coming off two straight wins after beating the Kings and the Wizards. Their most recent outing was against Washington where they prevailed 110-102 on the road thanks to a combined 59 points from their ‘big-three’ of Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro. Miami will return to the Kaseya Center in South Beach where they have posted a 13-11 record. Despite winning their last two in a row, Miami isn’t quite out of the woods yet as they have still lost seven of their last 10 overall.

The LA Clippers will also be searching for their third consecutive win as they look to move atop the Western Conference standings. The Clippers took care of business against the league’s two worst teams in their last two appearances, defeating the Wizards 125-109 before beating the Pistons by a score of 136-125 on Friday. Kawhi Leonard dropped 33 points in the latter game, his third straight with 30+ points as he continues to play at an extremely high level over the last few months. In fact, the Clippers are the league’s best team since December 1st with a record of 24 wins and only five losses. This has LA’s seasonal mark at 32-15 for third-place in the Western Conference, putting them just one game behind the Timberwolves and Thunder who are currently tied for first.
