Miami Heat vs Brooklyn Nets Prediction & Betting Tips - NBA
by Joseph King | in NBA Predictions
An NBA Eastern Conference matchup is set to tip off on Sunday with the Brooklyn Nets looking to continue their meteoric rise up the standings as they head to South Beach to take on the Miami Heat at FTX Arena. Brooklyn finally saw their incredible winning streak come to an end at 12 games when they lost to the Chicago Bulls 121-112 on Wednesday. The Nets were able to immediately bounce back however, putting forth an extremely impressive performance to defeat a very strong Pelicans team that had previously won 17 of their 21 games in their home arena. Brooklyn would walk away with a 108-102 victory, powered by Kevin Durant’s 33 points. The Nets have moved all the way up to second in the Eastern Conference with a 26-13 record and can close the gap on the first-place Celtics to a half game with a victory.
Looking to throw a wrench in the visitors’ plans are the Miami Heat who have been slowly but steadily picking up momentum as they look to battle their way back up the standings. Miami finished as the top-seeded team in the East last season after racking up 53 wins but haven’t been able to replicate that kind of form this campaign. The Heat currently sit eighth in the conference with 21 wins and 19 losses. However, nine wins from the last 13 outings will surely give Erick Spoelstra’s men confidence that they can have a strong second half of the season. The hosts are coming off a 104-96 away win over the Suns which marks their third win in the past four games. The Heat will be put to the test here though as they will have to compete with the NBA’s hottest team at the moment.

Our Miami Heat vs Brooklyn Nets Prediction
The Heat come into this matchup with a rather lengthy injury list, compared to the Nets who don't have any injury concerns to worry about. Sixth man of the year winner Tyler Herro missed out on the Heat’s win against the Sun in the last game and is listed as questionable for this one. Key big man Bam Adebayo is also listed as questionable with a thigh bruise, although will be expected to suit up. His absence would be a massive blow if he were to miss out as the 25-year-old is averaging 21.8 points per game this season and has scored 30+ in three of the Heat’s last four games. Our Miami Heat vs Brooklyn Nets prediction: Nets -3.5
