Miami Heat vs Brooklyn Nets Prediction & Betting Tips - NBA
by Joseph King | in NBA Predictions
A big matchup in the Eastern Conference sees two teams with title aspirations face off in South Beach when the Brooklyn Nets head down to Miami to take on the Heat. There is a lot on the line for both teams here despite the opposite ends of the playoff spectrum they each find themselves in. Brooklyn, sitting eighth place with a 38-35 record, were given an enormous boost when it was declared that the vaccine mandate in New York City would be lifted meaning that mercurial point guard Kyrie Irving will now be eligible to play in home and away games. Despite having the eight seed, with KD finally healthy and Kyrie back in the mix on a full-time basis, you can be assured that the Nets are the team that no one of the top seeded teams want to come up against in the first round. Brooklyn’s last game was a tough 132-120 loss against a red hot Memphis Grizzlies team and the Nets have now won six of their last 10.
After rolling along so steadily for the majority of the season, the Miami Heat have hit a roadblock in the last week and it would appear to outside observers that they may be in somewhat of a crisis. It’s been a bizarre last couple of games with some ugly losses on the record including a Sixers team without Embiid and Harden, a Warriors team without Curry, Klay and Draymond, and most recently, a Knicks team without Julius Randle. The Knicks game last night in particular was worrying as the Heat blew a 16 point lead going into the fourth quarter to ultimately lose 111-103. Frustration has clearly been manifesting itself in the team as key player Jimmy Butler was seen getting into a heated exchange with Udonis Haslem and head coach Erik Spoelstra on the bench in the loss against Golden State. Things won’t get any easier for the Heat as they face one of the NBA’s best duos in KD and Kyrie, the latter who has scored a ridiculous 103 points in his last two games.
