Miami Dolphins vs Tennessee Titans Prediction & Betting Tips - NFL
by Matthew Newman in NFL Predictions
The 9-3 Miami Dolphins host the 4-8 Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football. The Dolphins are unbeaten on home soil this season 5-0 while the Titans have a rather unwanted 0-6 record when they have been on the road. The bye week for the Dolphins came at the perfect time for them, losing two of their final three games before that on the road at the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. While there is no disgrace in being beaten by the two Super Bowl teams from last season, they have gone 3-0 since and look right back in the groove again. They have injury niggles coming into Monday with the NFL's leading wide receiver Tyreek Hill and their top rusher Raheem Mostert limited in practice this week with ankle and knee injuries respectively. They will both play with Hill only 19 yards short of 1,500 on the season. His deep threat is as potent as anyone in the league, chasing down Calvin Johnson's single-season record of 1,964 receiving yards.
The Titans have struggled to score any points on the road this season, failing to get more than 16 in any of their six games. Going against the team who have scored six more touchdowns than any other team in the NFL, their defence looks like they are going to be spending plenty of time on the field again. Only five teams are giving up more yards per completed catch than the Titans which is a dangerous way to live against the Dolphins. Miami has three different players in the speediest seven in the league this season while quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is the quickest in the league with his ball release at 2.38 seconds. That is easy with so much speed to be aiming at and given the Titans traded their all-pro safety Kevin Byard to the Eagles in late October, that could be an issue for the road team.
