The Chicago Bulls look to end their cold run as they head to Memphis to take on a hot Grizzlies team that has surged up the standings in recent weeks. The visitors still maintain the top position in the Eastern Conference with a 27-14 record but they might not be able to hold onto that spot for long. The Bulls have now lost three consecutive games with their last defeat narrowly coming 114-112 at the hands of the Boston Celtics. Their job won’t get any easier as they are up against a Grizzlies team that just recently had their 11 game winning streak ended in their last game after a 112-85 defeat to the Luca Doncic led Mavericks. Memphis has shot up the Western Conference standings thanks to their impressive winning streak and now sit third in the West with their 30-15 record also the third best in the entire league.

Unfortunately we won’t get to see these two sides facing off at full strength as the Bulls will be without all-star shooting guard Zach Lavine and starting point guard Lonzo Ball. Chicago’s injuries, coupled with their three game losing streak and their opponents hot streak and it’s easy to see why they come into this game as sizable underdogs. The Grizzlies will have to be careful not to underestimate their opponents however, as the Bulls still have plenty of firepower with the likes of DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic. Memphis will be powered by the all-star caliber play of their superstar point guard Ja Morant. The third-year man out of Murray State is averaging career highs in both points, with 24.4, and field goal percentage at 48.6%.
