Mattia Bellucci is the top seed in the qualifying rounds of the 2025 Mexican Open, and will next battle sixth seed Gabriell Diallo. This will be their fourth career meeting and the first at tour level. The winner will punch a ticket for the main draw. Below is our prediction for this match.

Mattia Bellucci defeated Christopher Eubanks in straight sets in the first round of the qualifiers. That was his eighth win of the season and the sixth in his last seven outings.

Bellucci arrived in Acapulco after his impressive run to the semi-finals in Rotterdam as a qualifier. The world number 70 has dominated this matchup with Diallo and has won all three of their encounters.

Gabriel Diallo was in great form in the first round, defeating the wildcard Rafael Alfonso by the loss of just two games. He will hope for another strong performance but Bellucci is a far better player than Alfonso who is ranked outside the ATP's top 1000.

The Canadian has now won six of 10 matches but due to his inconsistency, he has dropped one place to 89th in the live ranking. Diallo qualified for the main draw in Hong Kong and made it to the second round.

That was the only event he started as a qualifier this season before Acapulco.
