Matteo Berrettini vs Felix Auger Aliassime Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Cincinnati Open

Matteo Berrettini is the fifth seed for the Western & Southern Open. He faces Felix-Auger Aliassime who is seeded 12th, with the winner taking on either second seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas or unseeded Lorenzo Sonego in the quarter finals.  Berrettini has had a strong 2021 and is up to eighth in the rankings but fourth in terms of ranking points earned this year. Berrettini would be higher on that list but for missing a few months due to injury. He has won two titles in 2021, a clay court tournament in Belgrade and the cinch Championships on grass in London, prior to making it to the Wimbledon final. This is his first tournament since that Grand Slam final and he had to come from behind to beat Albert Ramos-Vinolas in his only match so far.

Felix Auger-Aliassime has also been climbing the rankings in 2021. He began the year in 21st place but began this week in 17th. The Canadian is 16th in the WTA Race and will be out for some revenge after losing to Berrettin in the Wimbledon quarter finals. His form has dipped a bit since Wimbledon with only one win in four matches prior to this tournament with two losses against players ranked outside the top 100. This week has seen him beat Marton Fucsovics in straight sets and then Karen Khachanov after losing the first set.  He's lost both of his previous matches against Berrettini, though both were played on grass. Berrettini looks in the better form and can win this match.
