Matteo Berrettini vs Felix Auger Aliassime Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Wimbledon Championships

Seventh seeded Matteo Berrettini bids to make it to the last four at Wimbledon. He takes on 18th seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime in the quarter finals, a round neither of these players have previously reached at this Grand Slam. Berrettini won the cinch Championships held in London prior to this tournament. This is only the third time he has played at Wimbledon, his previous best being the fourth round in 2019. At the start of this tournament he was ranked ninth in the world but has climbed one place to eighth in the live rankings. He'd have to win the tournament to get to seventh.  He's played 36 matches this year, winning 30 of them and aside from the cinch title, he also won a clay court tournament in Belgrade. If he wins this match he'll be in only his second Grand Slam semi-final, the other being in the 2019 US Open. He's only dropped one set on his way to the last eight, Guido Pella in the first round being the player to do so. Since then, Berrettini has beaten Botic van Zandschulp, Aljaz Bedene and Ilya Ivashka.

Canada have two players in the last eight and there is the chance of an Auger-Aliassime v Shapovalov final. Aliassime began Wimbledon ranked 19th but is up to 15th in the live rankings and could get as high as 11th if beating Berrettini. He's 12th in the ATP Race and has reached finals in Melbourne and the grass court tournament held in Stuttgart. Halle saw him get a win over Roger Federer on grass, always a decent feat to achieve.  This is only his second time playing at Wimbledon and he's easily beaten his previous best of making it to the third round. He's had wins over Thiago Monteiro, Mikhail Ymer, Nick Kyrgios and then fourth seeded Alexander Zverev.  His only previous match against Berrettini was on grass in Stuttgart a couple of years ago, with Berrettini getting the win without dropping a set. It might be a bit closer this time but it's Berrettini who can make it to the semi-finals.
